Paw Protection

Maneuvering around my house on the wood floors has been tough. My mom has been putting lots of different stuff on my paws to help me get around the house without slipping and sliding.

WELL, I think it’s time for me to share some of my favorite products with you.

Ruff Wear Summit Trex Boots – Everyday Paw Protection

I did not love these when my mom first put them on me but we spent lots of time getting used to them one foot at a time with yummy cookies! Once I realized that they made going on walks so much easier they really grew on me. Not only do they prevent me from slipping and sliding, but they also protect my feet from the hot pavement. I hope they work just the same once it starts to snow!

I tried to wear my booties around the house but I just did not love it so my mom started to bring home lots of different stuff for me to try. She started with this HORRIBLE sock that felt like a balloon on my foot. They stopped me from sliding but I could not stand them so we quickly moved on. So many different smelly, oily and sticky paw balms later she finally brought home the Espree Paw Balm. This stuff ROCKS. It doesn’t smell which means it doesn’t bother anyone I live with. It also stops me from sliding into the kitchen island when I chase my sister around. It is a little oily when you first put it on but if I sit in Mom’s lap for a few minutes after she puts it on I am good to go!

If anyone has some other stuff they love for their three little feet please share with my Mama so she can get it for me!

Happy Wednesday!

Love,

Lego

Meet My Sisters

I wanted to introduce my sisters to all of you! I really love them so much. Chloe is my older sister; she’s 11 years old and even though she’s a lot older than I am she still lets me snuggle with her! She plays with me sometimes but our favorite thing to do is lay in bed together.

Luna is my other sis. She’s more of my play buddy! We get really crazy sometimes so our Mom makes us take a down and wait break. I guess that’s a good idea since my stamina is not quite as good as her’s. She’s about the same age as I am so we can call ourselves twins right?!

This Week’s Training

Hey guys, Lego here!

I had quite the busy week! I learned lots of new things. I spent a lot of time learning place which you can clearly tell I was thrilled about (it really was not that bad). It was a little tough to find a bed that I could get on and off without slipping but once my mom put a blanket on our Kurunda bed I was good to go. I learned pretty quickly that all I had to do was stay on the bed and it became a treat dispenser. I mean who wouldn’t love that am I right?!

My latest FitPAWS workout was pretty tough. I worked on moving from a sit to a stand on different unstable surfaces. I’m going to have a six pack pretty soon because when I don’t engaged my core, it makes it really hard to balance. I get tired pretty quickly so my mom lets me take breaks between each exercise or what I like to call laying on the bed for cookies! I’m going to be in the best shape of my life pretty soon. Stay tuned guys!

Meet Lego

Hi Everyone!

My name is Lego and I am a tripod from Georgia. I was born with a club foot so the vets decided it would be better to amputate my leg. If you ask me, I get around just fine! Each day brings a new adventure and I am still learning how to maneuver through some situations but I am trying my best and my mom says that’s all I need to do!

I have two fur-siblings; Chloe and Luna. Luna loves to get crazy and run around with me but I sure am thankful for Chloe because when I get tired, she likes to just relax with me. My mom is a dog trainer so she has come up with some super cool exercises to help me strengthen the rest of my body to make up for my missing leg. I do this cool stuff she calls FitPAWS which is SUPER hard but makes me feel great. We’re even going to post some workout tips here for all of you to try but be forewarned some of this stuff makes me want to nap for days!

I hope you guys will stick around to follow me on my journey and I hope that my mom and I are able to help some of you!
